Redeem

One of the things I love most about Chuck E. Cheese, Dave & Buster’s and Main Event is when I get to redeem my tickets. I usually only play games that give tickets; The more tickets the better the prize. In life, there are times we get to redeem ourselves. We get to redeem offers. We reap the benefit of redemption through Christ's sacrifice. We have access to the throne of God. We have access to salvation. We have been redeemed. Every time you cash in a ticket or redeem a prize, remember what price was paid. Remember that Christ redeemed you.

Radiate Love

Energy is real. Some people refer to it as vibes, energy, or spirit. It is an intangible thing that you feel. It’s metaphysical. It's supernatural. It’s spiritual. Whether you recognize it or not, you are giving and receiving energy. When you’re in a bad mood, people can feel it. When you’re happy or in a good mood, it's contagious. Radiate love.

Reach

How far is your reach? What does your sphere of influence look like? Do people listen when you speak? Are you a leader? Are you an example? Your reach extends past your immediate circle. In this new digital age, every post and every picture can have a global impact. Things go viral everyday. We should be mindful of what we do because of our reach. Our reach impacts others. Our touch, our speech, our sentiments, our opinions matter. They have reach.

Rush

There is something to be said about waiting for something. I can admit that when I rush things, things don’t happen the way they should. They feel rushed. They feel half-hearted. If we are completely honest with ourselves, some of us like the rush. We like the beat of our heart, We like the pressure. We like the thrill. Truth is…There are things in life that shouldn’t be rushed. You wouldn’t rush baking a cake. It requires time. There are things in your life that just require more time. What things in your life feel rushed? What are you doing out of your own strength? Be patient. Wait for it, Everything in due time and season. Don’t rush it.

Reaping Your Harvest

I love this time of year. The leaves change color. The smell of cinnamon is everywhere. Pumpkin and sweet potato pies are available at your fingertips. It’s harvest time. It’s reaping season. Everything you sowed all year, you can reap that harvest. The question is, “what have you sown?” Have you sown discord or love? Have you sown chaos or order? What does your harvest look like? Is it bountiful and plenty? Tis the season to reap your harvest.

Braveheart

1 John 4:18 NIV There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

I think the hardest thing to recover from is heartbreak. After you’ve been hurt, its hard to love again because fear is present. Fear brings back memories of past pain. Fear reminds you. Fear encourages isolation. Fear discourages you. Fear fuels doubt. To love again, requires you to push back your emotions. To love again, requires you to trust again. To love again, requires you to believe again. To love again, requires you to have a braveheart. You do have a braveheart. You have been given the ability to forgive and forget, and to love again. You have a braveheart that heals itself. You have a braveheart that’s waiting on you.

Burden Bearer

When I was in college, I used to blast God’s Property “More than I can bear.” Sometimes, what we are going through seems like its too much. God reminds us that we can cast our burdens on him. Even Christ had Simon who helped him carry his cross. Who are the burden bearers in your life? Who are your Simons? Who steps in right on time to help when you need it most? These are your burden bearers. Thank God for these people. Bless them. Praise them. They are your gifts. This life is not meant to be lived alone, and your burdens aren’t meant to be bared alone.
