Objective

When we are revamping our resumes or job hunting, we do so on purpose. We have an objective. We have a goal. We have a purpose. We are deliberate. We should always have an objective in every area of our life. We fast with a goal in mind. We pray with a purpose. We should speak and live in the same manner. Be objective and have an objective for this year.

Obstacles

Part of being successful is acknowledging the obstacles in your way, and to the best of your abilities planning for them. There will be unforeseen circumstances, but for the most part we know our challenges. It is important to set realistic goals. It is important to evaluate resources. We must always count the cost. Some journeys require you to travel alone. Some roads are long and narrow. No matter what path you take this year, count the cost. Evaluate and acknowledge your obstacles...so you can overcome them.

Prosperity

When we hear the word, “prosperity” many people immediately think money. Don’t get me wrong some prosperity is financial, but God has the ability to prosper you in all areas of your life. You can prosper in your health. You can prosper in your mentality. You can prosper in your perspective. You can prosper in your relationships. You can prosper in your spirituality. My prayer for family and myself is that God would prosper us. I want success in my friendships. I want joy in my kids. I want peace in my life. I want rest when I’m weary. I want God to prosper me. I want to be the blessing he created me to be. I want to give of my time, my tenth, and my talent. I want to share my wealth. I want to exude purpose and promise.

Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Perform

Today, we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Even though it may not be the exact date this event occurred, we acknowledge what his birth means to us. It means redemption. It means restoration. It means renewal. It is a time for reflection. It is a time to recognize the gift we have already been given.. So, as you open the gifts under your tree. Remember, that God has already given us the greatest gift…son. His son came down to perform on the stage of humanity. He performed miracles. He lived a blameless life- and gave that life that we may perform in his image. Celebrate! Acknowledge! Perform!

Proceed

Shall I proceed? Sometimes, we find ourselves asking for permission. We want to know if we are going in the right direction or if we need to course correct. We are on the right path. We are heading in the right direction. We are walking in purpose in the direction of our destiny. Go forward. Have great expectations for this next year of your life. There is more God has for you. Be renewed in your mind and your heart. Proceed!

Prepare

I’m a planner. I have several digital “to do” lists. I have alerts on my phone. I have multiple organizers. I have shared calenders, the whole nine. It makes it easier for me to manage my household and keep up with everyone’s schedule and budding social calendars. You don’t have to go to this extreme, but anything of value in your life is going to require preparation. You will need to prepare for every major step in your life. Some preparation requires physical training. Other preparation requires mental and spiritual conditioning. While other prepartion is financial. No matter what area in your life requires preparation, do your due diligence to properly prepare. Plan. Prepare. Proceed. Perform.

Philosophy

What’s your personal philosophy? What do you believe? What’s your culture? What’s your creed? We all have a code, a set of beliefs that guide us through our life. Our personal philosophies are created by our experiences. They are lessons that were instilled early in our lives. They are deep rooted. They are the foundation for our actions. They are our motives.
